Tropic of Coldness is a Brussels-based ambient/experimental duo, formed by David and Giovanni, who met by chance, or maybe not, during the autumn of 2011. “Deplaces” is their fourth album, and it has been conceived as a reflection on both their five years working together and their relationship with the city of Brussels. The album is the synthesis of impro-driven recording sessions held between May and July 2016, edited with additional overdubs and field recordings in the following months and mixed in autumn 2016.
