Wndfrm – C60 / Tmkutekt

Wndfrm is Tim Westcott, from Portland, Oregon. This is our first release with Tim, although we go way back now after his cloudburst moniker produced the excellent Resting Bell release ‘Katedra’ in 2008.

‘c60 / tmkutekt’ are two long-form compositions he created with grant funding from the Canada Council for The Arts. The source field recordings for “c60” were obtained exclusively from within the “Biosphere Museum of the Environment”, which at the time of recording was located in the geodesic dome in Parc Jean- Drapeau, Montreal. Indeed all the sounds used in these two compositions were derived from field recordings obtained during a visit to Montreal, Canada, in the early summer of 2011. The work was greatly inspired by the performances and atmosphere of the MUTEK Electronic Music and Digital Arts Festival.
