Frames is Lorenzo Masotto’s fifth album and will be released on June 11, 2019 on Lady Blunt Records. It consists of 10 tracks composed and performed by the artist. The tracks Reverbs and Yaki Point are enriched by the voice of Stefania Avolio. In the tracks Orion and Nighthawks appears the violin of Laura Masotto, whilst the cello by Leonardo Sapere is also to be found in the piece called Orion. The cover was designed by Alessandro Lugoboni, with artwork by artist Christophe Piallat.

This 44 minute piece may structurally resemble a classical composition – divided as it is into several interlocking stanzas – but it’s difficult to place it comfortably within the realm of modern music. If anything, ‘The Rest….’ evokes the otherwordly, fantastical obsessions of the Victorians (Conan Doyle, Lear, Grandville, Wellcome, etc) through means of meticulously manipulated instrumentation, samples and voice.Plinth, of course, is no stranger to Victoriana.
