Phil Tomsett & The Inventors of Aircraft – The Last Things

Another elegant addition to our jackdaw-style series, this 3 disc set is partly inspired by the novella “In the Country of Last Things” by Paul Auster. Journeying from a chaotic and poisoned metropolis to the foreboding loneliness of the countryside, “The Last Things” presents a personal struggle through hum, thunder and dread. The collection plays out as if the book itself has been buried deep in the ground and unearthed many years later, the soil having transformed the words into fragments of sound.

    Ishmael Cormack – Maple Finch

Maple Finch was conceived through multiple thought channels with an approach to nature and the outdoors, the six pieces of work have a familiar theme running through them. From the perspective of the bird and its surroundings and habitat to technical elements which are in-turn connected to organic field recordings, reverbs and natural noise created during the process. Maple Finch integrates real-time-playback, multi-layered tape loops and acoustic elements along with intricate sound design - giving it a warm and uncondensed edge. A beating heart and cosmic soul can be heard running through the duration of Maple Finch, this will eventually be part of an installation - a series of vessels that contain the items that the Finch will collect during springtime, items which are essential for nest building for their offspring. The journey of the full-length release brings-together elements of spring, new life, adventure and a meditative journey through the season. It is released to coincide with astronomical spring in the UK.

Davis / Zuydervelt / Fabriek – Bij Wat Ook Moog

Rutger Zuydervelt (Machinefabriek), Gareth Davis, and drummer Leo Fabriek bring these people to life with a bass clarinet, broken drum loops and evolving, modern electronics, telling the personal stories of young athletes caught up in the eye of the storm, namely the unrelenting glare of life under the microscope in the 21st Century. Local and national attention, rivalries, and social pressures are at war with the desire for self-improvement and eventual victory, both on the pitch and in their personal lives. The soundtrack rises and falls, lulls and spikes with optismistic interludes, troughs of self-doubt and hardship, and the grinding out of hours and hours spent in practice. The score never tires, though. As with all book editions, the central theme is fragility, family and times long past. Old books have been dismantled / reassembled to present something new. The vintage books, photos and cine-film have once again come from an auction that was sold by one family, giving the album a sense of deep sentimental value! The design also features vintage prints, hand numbered library cards, stamps and book-marks that all rest inside stitched wax bags. Extremely limited... Each copy is completely unique and different from the next.

offthesky & Bill Seaman – Layers of Memory…

Transience is also felt in music, which is never stationary. The tones are always moving, receding further and further into the distance, like that one experience, like that single moment. Longing can replace logic in the blink of an eye, but sadness doesn’t seem to coat the music, and it doesn’t want to – it’s a realistic and accepting sound, looking back on events with some slice of inevitable nostalgia, but keeping an eye on the present, too. The past has power in reeling people back into its history. Building on the theme of memories past and fragmented fragility, we have come up with something that perfectly captures the audio exploration of 'Layers of Memory in the Quiet Voice of Motion'... old / vintage 7" vinyl, taken from a family collection of classical music has been used as the back-drop for a design that also includes CDs housed in circular see-through covers, oversized vintage prints, vintage ephemera, vintage cine-film strips, film negatives and antique photos. All of the above comes from the same family collection.

Alaskan Tapes – You Were Always An Island

    ,
You Were Always An Island opens with a downpour of rain. Staring out at its constant fall, listeners can only wait for it to stop. The music’s already waiting: for someone, and for a moment that will never arrive… Alaskan Tapes aids in the clear-up operation, helping to cleanse the air if not the growing solitude. Quiet drones and sullen strings dispel the rain, but it lingers in the streets, overflowing around the mouth of its gutter. The music has been invaded by a longing which spreads like a tendril of ink in clear water, bruising the atmosphere with its purple, sour colour. An event shakes the soul with the magnitude of an earthquake. In this case, the cruelty of distance and the greater cruelty of war which separates a couple. As a man leaves to fight, his beloved has no other choice but to wait for his return. She sends unanswered prayers. His absence grows longer with every sunset. Unable to wait and growing increasingly anxious, she sets off to look for him, a lighthouse offering a faint lifeline in the gathering gloom, only to sadly learn of his death. The separation is permanent – death us do part.

    Nicola Di Croce – Clinamen

    ,
Heavyweight 12" vinyl, download + handmade artwork book curated by Caterina Gabelli, ltd. 111 copies... The concept of "clinamen" derives from Lucretius's "On the Nature of the Universe", and describes the swerve of the atoms from their original straight course. Such deviation generates collisions, and allows changes in the relationship between elements. By using the metaphor of clinamen, the album narrates the process of inventing by diverting from any usual methodology, thus encountering unpredictable solutions. The music combines different commissioned sound works together with field recordings from various mediterranean cities, and the unique timbre of Gabriele Mitelli's trumpet.

Gianluca Favaron – Variations (Fragments of Evanescent Memories)

    ,
CD + handmade cover by Stefano Gentile, ltd. 100 copies... Gianluca Favaron (Under the Snow, Zbeen, Ab'she) returns with a new work based on the study of repetition. "Even variation is a form of repetition": quoting Arnold Schönberg, Favaron has elaborated his concept of repetition by frangling the sound to break it down into infinitesimal parts. Therefore adding a new piece in his discography that represents an essential starting point for new research. In the sound. Of sound.

A well-travelled man, 'His Many Seas' sets sail to quietly conquer and navigate another unexplored, painful continent: the frightening landmass of coming to terms with his father’s illness, steering through the trials of life as well as acting as a dedication to his father’s love of travelling. Ned Milligan – Afternoon Hours

    , ,
The fragility of life – of all life – is both a blessing and a curse. It can be stolen – unfairly, shockingly – in an instant, and it can flower in a split-second. One breath is all that separates the living from those who have passed. Guiseppe Cordaro – 45°12′N 72°54′E

    ,
Made by hand... Hand made book-bound covers (1260 g/qm FSC certified), lined inside with luxury Italian paper from Florence, sealed with washi tape, glass mastered CD (not CDR), antique glass slide (circa. 1910-1955), 5 x embryology prints, insert from antique embryology book, dried lavender, dried herbs, scent. All rests inside stitched glassine bags. Individually numbered / tagged / sealed. Made with love... Arising out of a womb-like, silent void comes Guiseppe Cordaro’s 45°12′N 72°54′E, blinking into life and exploring the cyclical lineage of a new birth, a recent ending, and the never-ending flow of life’s river. Water both sustains life and erodes it. Like the crumbling and disfigured coastlines, she either laps against the throat or chokes it, providing nourishment or eating away at the body, either satiating a deep thirst and keeping organisms alive or discovering a grisly penchant for murder in death by way of drowning. Barriers barely hold back Cordaro’s roiling waves of modular synth, a thrusting, unstoppable power rolling around in the pit of the music, capable of collapsing sounds, but also capable of reshaping their architecture.

    Bill Seaman – The Epiphanies

    ,
The Epiphanies sees Bill Seaman in fine fettle, driving along phosphorescent-lit roads marked by the heavy dew of mystery and slow-to-develop intrigue. Delayed secrets are now only coming to light. The setting sun is the glorious backdrop as The Epiphanies coasts along a deserted road, its dark road-trip music glinting like the lightless, metallic chrome of the car’s body. A pack of coyotes come out to play, and further down the road some lusty, post-jazz musings at a local bar hint at dark dislocations. Nothing is right – the neon sign is too bright and things are a little off-kilter. Reality slips slowly away, like water through the fingers, drained as if from the last bottle of whiskey, until it can’t be grasped at any longer. The sick, cloying perfume of cigarette smoke hangs in the air like a tired apparition. The lingering, too-wide smile of a cute bartender with a string of strange tattoos along her back and an old episode of Tiny Toon Adventures (circa 1990) rather than the latest game from the NHL graces the television’s pulpit, adding to the subtle sense of dislocation, and the music only gets darker, its dying light duelling with the fading sunset. The headlights are a lonely splash of colour at two in the morning, and as the music enters the long hours a velvet-smooth carpet of asphalt spreads out before the listener, the unfolding ambient textures helping to shape a smooth, virgin-pure road. Dark wet trees and swaying branches are illuminated as the car drives through an eerie, sleeping town, with nothing but a slumping, somnambulant piano strolling up and down the dark, leaf-strewn sidewalk. Distant notes seem to croon into the space, somehow filtering in through the dead radio that needed replacing months ago, luring you into its monochromatic musical world. You are the first visitor. You are also the last. There isn’t any other traffic…

    Steven Kemner – Gradation Movements

    ,
You can’t predict the weather. Sometimes, life throws something at you. When it does – not if but when - hopes and expectations lie like shattered spokes. Is it fate, destiny, or circumstance? No one knows, but paths can change when there’s a sudden shift in the weather, and something that once seemed so sure and stable starts to become the opposite: uncertain and unfair. Promises peter out as a drop of rain appears. You have to stop and change course. A natural disaster plunges normality into desolation, and the same is true of our longed-for futures which so often disappear into the ether. Disappointment ensures: inclement weather. You can’t prepare for it; the hurricane warning arrived too late. Steven Kemner recently went through such a change: “I needed to move away from everything that I loved to a place I had no desire to go. This change complicated music, life and a sense of belonging”. - Steven Kemner Like the changing of the weather, ironclad clouds can appear from out of nowhere, eclipsing the sun with blackened totality, and the deep, roiling textures within the music of Gradation Movements are full of rain and turmoil, of leaving and moving on. The slow swells and hard-fought movements are indicative of clouded spells which obdurately block out the blue hope of the sky like a cruel shield. Coated in sleek silver, the notes shadow the steps of the people below. Rainy season stalks the soul; it doesn’t seem to matter where the notes walk, because the cloud always follows, indiscriminate with its downpours of rain and its trident spears of lightning. Rainfall is needed in order to grow, and that includes us. The rainy spells can make us stronger, helping us to rise up in troubling times…but too much of it, and we drown. The cirrus patterns and the cycling of the wind may be hard to understand – we may never understand – but they still have a purpose. The purpose may seem obscure, but it’s there. There’s a strong energy at work within them, and troubled times often reveal things that, in hindsight, we later come to appreciate. When sunlight fails, the music’s tones lie hidden in a shroud of slow mist. The clouds don’t always disperse. You can’t predict the future - you just have to roll with it until you finally come to terms with the strange weather.

From the Mouth of the Sun – Hymn Binding

Housed in a heavy stock, handcrafted 7" x 5" book-style case with download card for the album in high quality format. Edition of 150 copies! ‘Hymn Binding’ is the pair’s third album as From the Mouth of the Sun, and their first for US label, Lost Tribe Sound. The album is teeming with all the soul-stirring character one has come to expect from their work together. The long form crescendos built from Martin’s mournful strings and vast array of acoustic instrumentation are a perfect compliment to Rosenqvist’s delicate piano melodies, humming electronics, and waves of warm static. At the core, From the Mouth of the Sun’s sound is comprised of cello, piano, acoustic guitars, lap steel, banjo, ukulele and pump organ. Yet with ‘Hymn Binding’ they’ve allowed those acoustic sources to change shape, at times turning them into something that more resembles synths or digitally rendered sounds. They do this, not as a means of disguising them, or really wanting them to sound like synths, but to bring out new layers from already existing timbres.

Alder & Ash – Clutched in the Maw of the World

Handcrafted 7″x 5″ Case & Glass Mastered CD / Limited to 150 Hand-numbered Editions / Download code 'Clutched in the Maw of the World', the second full-length album from Alder & Ash, is as much maximal as it is minimal. It punctuates periods of barren calm with thunder and screams, before creeping back to the silence and the dusk. The album is comprised entirely of cello. 'Clutched...' combines traditional classical modalities with gnarled, heavily treated modern techniques to devastating affect. Glass, wood, rain, stone and air are all present in the music, from the crystalline notes of the "Merciless Dawn" to the unyielding crashes and lumbering slabs of distorted rhythm of "A Seat Amongst God and His Children." Alder & Ash treads on the experimental fringes of modern classical, perhaps too abrasive to play nice with the coy melodrama of the scene. Yet, the music has enough grit to take hold of lovers of doom, noise, and the like, perhaps winning over new fans of cello music from even the most hardened black metal die-hards.

Alder & Ash – Psalms for the Sunder

Handcrafted 7"x 5" Case & Glass Mastered CD / Limited to 150 Hand-numbered Editions / Download code 'Psalms for the Sunder' thrives in opposing extremes. As the title suggests, 'Psalms for the Sunder' is a study of downfall and collapse. The work explores the boundaries, the desolation and despair, among the edges of things come undone. In that tension and space it finds not only cacophony, violence and decay, but also bittersweetness and calm. If all this sounds a bit intense, you may do well to just have a listen or duck out now. As this is not the safe path to Yo-Yo-Ma style laments, gracefully pondering some past love affair. ‘Psalms...’ takes a far more rugged approach, an ugly retelling of the human condition, utilizing the cello not only for its beauty, but also for its aggressively commanding sensibilities.

For the music, made with a small number of instruments (electric piano, glockenspiel, DX7, handheld cassette recorder) Deupree originally set out to create a follow-up to his classic album Stil.. Steeped in subtle repetition and soft electronic sound, Stil. explored themes of time and change. However, Stil. was created with purely electronic means - software synthesizers and looping algorithms which explored the then-novel frontier of DSP based “microsound.” With a strong desire to bring the aesthetics of Stil. to his current way of working Deupree used no software or automatic looping, instead opting for the imperfections of creating “loops” by hand. The result is warm and quietly decayed work of spare, discreet tones and dozens of interwoven slow polyrhythms that create repetitions that constantly fall apart and shuffle themselves back together. While these ideas of phase relationships are not new in music, nor to Deupree’s catalogue of work, it was the way he approached the composing that was different, and more challenging, than his work in the past. Wrapped up warmly in the sonics of cassette players and cheap built-in speakers, Somi’s dusty melodies sit quietly, but uneasily, and question the passing of time and present one of Deupree’s most alluring albums to date.

    Seabuckthorn – Turns

CD edition arrive in the ever stunning physically and sonically minded fashion that LTS has become known for: Handcrafted 7"x 5" Case & Glass Mastered CD Limited to 150 Hand-numbered Editions DL Code for 'Turns' 'Turns' is an album wrought with vertical forms, heavily cinematic in design and scope. It’s an album built from the earth. With eyes closed, one can easily imagine heavy rusted spires rising and collapsing upon themselves, only to be rebuilt from the rubble in the same instant, ever clawing towards the sky, with the rumblings of massive tectonic plates shifting below. That said, 'Turns' is far more of a cerebral experience than its predecessors. transitioning seamlessly between hypnotic long-form pieces, minimal harp-like ballads and the primal stomping world-builders that have become Seabuckthorn’s calling card.

    Hotel Neon – Context

    ,
Pre-Order: Release Date 01.05.17 Two tone / 4 panel hand made letter-pressed Somerset cotton covers, glass mastered CD, set of ten prints by Nieves Mingueza pressed on luxury 250g gesso card, antique (1890-1940) photograph that has been hand distressed to hold a secret message; hold to the light and all will be revealed! A set of hand numbered vintage negative prints; one black & white photo and one film slide. All of the above rests inside stitched / sealed glassine bags with patchouli scent. In the spirit of honoring the power of contextual cues and lenses on the musical translation process between artist and listener, Hotel Neon set about the task of creating an album as open to context as possible. This is a theme we had previously explored with other projects (i.e. “Forms” by The Sound Of Rescue), but never with so much awareness and personal experience driving the endeavor. “Context” is an intentionally minimal experience and although the intensity of the tracks ebbs and flows, it is equally at home in the background and foreground. This is an album ready to be enjoyed and appreciated in any circumstance or setting, and we await the interpretations. - HN

    Kouhei Matsunaga – Drawings

    , , ,
Hardbound, cloth bound book with 7" vinyl. Stunning! Kouhei Matsunaga's 'Drawings' is a book and a 7" vinyl record. The book is the first ever major showcase of his drawing skills. Here, smiling horses meet floating people in a strictly minimalist, slightly psychedelic black and white ink world. The hardcover book is cloth bound, 88 pages, 40 drawings, a few words and lots of space. The four track 7" vinyl single accompanying the book, credited to his alias Koyxen Mattsunagnen, takes Matsunaga's music a step further towards a more dance oriented approach, as with his minimal techno project NHK and the recent NHK'Koyxen material released by the PAN label, whilst still clearly and firmly rooted in contemporary, experimental music.

    Glottalstop – Woodsmoke

Purchases of the vinyl also come with a free download code… Woodsmoke is the debut release from Glottalstop. Sourced almost entirely from a collection of tape recordings dating back 20 years, the two long-form tracks that make up this LP are an exercise in slowbuild tension, unsettling claustrophobia, and dense textural collage. This distorted tape assemblage is tied together with additional improvised cello and electronics, never standing still, but letting each sound explore its full potential before moving on. In terms of reference points, the record perhaps harks back to the early tape work of Arthur Lipsett, or more recent offerings from Daniel Menche and the unclassifiable output of Akira Rabelais. But really we’re struggling for comparisons. Woodsmoke, like the mysterious building depicted on the artwork, is out on its own, in the middle of the woods, and it’s getting dark…

Atom Eye – The Otolith Sessions

    , , ,
CD release with a limited edition, 50 page book complete with beautiful images and texts eluding to the recording materials, machinery, processes and personnel. The book also encompasses an audio cookbook with recipes for you to create your own experimental audio loops and soups. The culmination of a year’s worth of sound experiments with machines of a bygone era, The Otolith Sessions sees Elsie Martins ‘Atom Eye’ project realise it’s most ambitious and complete work to date. A meticulously programmed full length as opposed to a collection of tracks the album develops and unfolds with a palpable sense of purpose and adventure over the albums six storied compositions. The visceral nature of the beautiful but abstruse music is no fluke but a deliberate result of the unhurried nature of the albums writing and production process. The Otolith Sessions was mixed & co-produced by James Aparicio (Liars, Spiritualized) and features guest appearances from regular collaborators; award-winning percussionist Pete Lockett (Björk, David Holmes, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Lee Scratch Perry, Primal Scream) and Mute Artist, Composer and Producer Simon Fisher Turner (whose work includes soundtracks for Derek Jarman’s Caravaggio, The Last of England, The Garden and David Lynch-produced Nadja).

Depatterning – The Huddled Tone (Deluxe 3″ box set)

    , ,
Each copy of this hand stamped release comes with images from abandoned villages, a vintage Saskatchewan postage stamp and a single, out-of-print Canadian penny predating the second Brian Mulroney term. Housed in a recycled kraft box, all paper has been printed on 100% recycled material… Researching the loss of rural communities with a reissue of Depatterning’s long out of print “The Huddled Tone Eps”. Includes a soundtrack to Elysia Bourne’s film “The Elevator at Parkbeg”, featuring Andrew Lee (In Media Res) and Ronan McGrath (Sxa Ormbjüment). As the urban population of the 20th century grew, the need for small town services declined. Worthless crop prices. Rail line decommissioned. The mine’s closure. Farm consolidation. Land becomes fallow. Town becoming a widow. These recordings trace the remnants of communities that at one time were places of growth and promise.

Sarah Hughes – Accidents of Matter or of Space

    , ,
Sarah Hughes’ ‘Accidents of Matter or of Space’ is a limited edition of 100 archival CD-R’s mounted on an 11×14 letterpress score produced by Milkfed Press in Alameda, California. A complementary informational sheet includes credits, track list, and an essay by Dominic Lash. This release brings together a solo zither improvisation recorded in a disused transmission station in mid-Wales with three realizations of the 2011 composition (can never exceed unity), performed by Rhodri Davies, Patrick Farmer, Jane Dickson, Neil Davidson, and Dimitra Lazaridou-Chatzigoga… In what has become an oft-quoted passage, the British composer and improviser Cornelius Cardew wrote that “it is impossible to record with any fidelity a kind of music that is actually derived in some sense from the room in which it is taking place – its shape, acoustical properties, even the view from the windows. What a recording produces is a separate phenomenon, something really much stranger than the playing itself, since what you hear on tape or disc is indeed the same playing, but divorced from its natural context”. This text is usually cited as evidence of the artificiality of recorded improvisation and the superiority of “the real thing”, the live concert happening in real time. I love “the real thing”, but it seems to me that recorded improvised music at its best deliberately exploits the strangeness to which Cardew refers. We are not forced to choose between either experiencing the “natural context” (if one is there in the room when the improvisation is taking place) or having no inkling of it (if one only hears a recording of the improvisation later). Rather the recorded sounds can give greater or lesser hints as to the nature of that context, depending on the way the music is recorded, and the particular sensitivities and sensibilities of each listener. These hints can be accurate or misleading in any degree and any combination, and the activity of the listener’s fantasy in relation to these hints comprises one of the great pleasures of listening to recorded improvised music.

    Jüppala Kaapio – Animalia Corolla

    , ,
Funky packaging design with this one: Includes screen printed belly bands wrapped around thick green gatefold card that has an inner card which CD rests inside… Love it! Most of us are living in an urban world, dominated by constant noise and contagious stress. Our ears are conditioned by this aggressive environment and have often lost the ability to perceive another discreet world surrounding us. It might be hidden but also swarming, vivid and incredibly musical. We are all able to prick up our ears to some birds chattering together, the wind shaking leaves, toads singing serenades or old spirits telling us their immemorial adventures… Since its creation in 2006, Jüppala Kääpiö has tried to substantiate what they were hearing and feeling from animals, plants or even minerals that they met in their living places in different countries and during travels in different continents. “Animalia Corolla” is a record of feasts of spirits gathered from the whole world. Their songs, dances and conversations about the synchronicity of their dreams have been transcribed in this album. Jüppala Kääpiö is a Swiss and a Japanese duo. They settled in Brussels in Belgium in summer 2011 after staying in Switzerland , Canada, Mongolia and Japan. The life in multicultural/lingual situations naturally gave to their music a style which might be called cosmopolitan folklore music.

    Evade – Destroy And Dream

    , ,
16 x 16 x 0.6cm (Close size). 48.6 x 32cm broadsheet foldout with customized greyboard CD tray… “Losing the absurd, a beautiful haze, the sun and moon as usual, fluctuating into madness” Since 2008, artists such as Kitchen. Label’s very own ASPIDISTRAFLY (Singapore) and Flica (Malaysia) have ventured successfully to Japan, presented music made in the Asia Pacific to the rest of the world. Following in these footsteps, electronic trio Evade have been honing their repertoire of sounds crafted from within their immediate surroundings of the urban pastoral landscapes of former Portugese colony, Macau. In this much anticipated full-length album entitled “Destroy & Dream”, Evade takes on the view of a distant observer, questioning life, the earth, the universe and the values of its living creatures, yet with the consolation of dreams, seclusion and shelter. Evade was born in the summer of 2004. Formed by Sonia Ka Ian Lao (vocals), Brandon L (guitar) and Faye Choi (sound), the trio released their first EP “Evade” in September 2009. Despite the fact that it was released on a small Macau-based label, with the help of Kitchen. Label producer Ricks Ang (who also mastered the EP and this album), the band attracted critical notice in Japan for their inventive and original style of electronic music, described by some as a wayward blend of minimalist electronic and dubstep combined with an ethereal pop sensibility. In August 2010, Evade was invited by Japanese independent music label PROGRESSIVE FOrM to perform at their curated event “New Sounds of Tokyo Vol.6″. Evade has also toured Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, and Singapore, and has lent support to Kashiwa Daisuke, ASPIDISTRAFLY and Flica’s Asian tours.

    Max Bondi – Convolution

    , ,
Limited edition run of just 120 full glass-mastered CDs, coming in a thick card gatefold sleeve, each one screenprinted in two colours, individually numbered and sewn together, enclosing a fold-out double-sided screenprinted insert. The latest record on Tartaruga is the second full-length from Max Bondi. A departure of sorts from previous work, the album is an exploration of constraint, limitations, and repetition. Fragments of sound fold in upon themselves, constructing subtle patterns and melodies which overlay, interfere and diverge, varying from dense clusters of pulsing frequencies to torrents of cascading electronic notes. This is uncompromising machine music, but with a melodic edge, rhythmical but irregular, ‘electrical’ rather than electronic. The record develops over the course of ten tracks, each one building up on top of the previous in successive waves.

Hakobune – Recalling My Insubstantial Thoughts

    , ,
How lucky we are to have some of these little beauties shipped in from Japan!!! Limited edition of 200 housed in paper sleeve with fabric seal… Hakobune is the moniker for Takahiro Yorifuji based in Japan and this is his 17th full length! Side A, the title track kicks things off with some nice lush electronic drones. REALLY lush. So simple, and so great. Harmonious and organic, it doesn’t even sound THAT electronic. The harmonies shift ever so slightly, barely noticeable. I feel like an ocean is singing and the harmonies are just washing over me in waves, but gentle ones! Side B, titled Maps, is also a drone affair but things sound a bit more – in music theory language – minor, or diminished, as opposed to the first side which had more of a major/happier vibe. Side B sounds a little more pensive. Some birds in the background. Frogs underneath the drone! Some very quiet waves crashing, or what could be wind. – Virtual Ritual
